Description
This training course aims to give trainees knowledge, understanding and basic skills in directing and guiding the movement of plant machinery. The standard can apply to any type of mobile plant or equipment, whether used for excavating, extracting, receiving or transporting loads, irrespective of whether it is free steering or in a tracked, railed or guided system. The standard includes elements of planning, communications and use of hand signals to complete the task. The length of training may vary depending on the objectives covered, the ratio of trainee/instructor and the ability and previous experience of the trainees. The delivery of training covers a mix of both theory and practical elements.
