Description
By the end of the course the candidates will be able to: • Identify the basic construction, purpose and function of components and the purpose and use of all controls and gauges. • Identify and comply with manufacturers' instructions in accordance with the operator's handbook, other information sources i.e. load charts and applicable legislation. • Identify hazards within the workplace that may effect the safe operation of the Pallet truck. • Carry out all pre-use and running checks. • Configure the Pallet truck for travel. • Manoeuvre the Pallet truck both with and without a load through restrictions. • Set up the Pallet truck in order to move various loads. • Move various loads within the full working range of the lift truck. • Ensure load integrity and security. • Transport loads. • Keep within safe working parameters. • Battery care and charging Place the Pallet truck in an out-of-service condition
